John Ward
Long before he was originally elected as Hardin County Sheriff in 2014, John Ward had established a deep appreciation for community policing and a commitment to Hardin County. A member of an Upton farm family and graduate of East Hardin High School, Ward’s early experiences interacting with law enforcement officers while working as an attendant for a local gas station and restaurant made him realize early-on the importance of community relationships among first responders and the citizens they serve.
